Wooden Statue of St. Barbara with Tower
Saint Barbara statue carved and painted in wood. Delicate wooden statue of the Saint invoked for Thunderstorms, Lightining, Armourers, Artillerymen. Barbara is usually depicted holding a miniature of a Tower. The Saint was locked up within a Tower by her father in order to preserve her from the outside world. The Tower had just two windows and at her request Barbara decided to put a third window, symbolizing the Holy Trinity. Because of the three windows constructed at her request, she is considered the Patron Saint invoked to protect Architects, Builders and Stone Masons. She has been regarded as well as the Protectress of "Sudden Death".
