On the reverse, the composition is equally rich: the M intertwined with the Cross expresses the inseparable bond between Mary and Christ’s redemptive mission. The two Hearts, that of Jesus crowned with thorns and that of Mary pierced, represent shared love and suffering in the salvation of humanity. The twelve stars recall both the Book of Revelation and Mary’s queenship, highlighting her role in salvation history.
