Here you can find some important information to get your tax refund and a link to the TAX REFUND step by step guide. Please read this page carefully.

Please remember that all tax refund forms must be stamped by a customs office of a European Union member state within 3 months from your purchase: no customs stamp = no refund.

WHERE TO GET YOUR TAX REFUND
 

1) ROME TAX REFUND offices

• located in Via della Fontanella di Borghese, 35 (close to Piazza di Spagna) - Google Maps view. Here you can get cash refund (no commission) or request a refund issued on your credit card by showing your Tax Refund form and a credit card.

2) AIRPORT'S CUSTOMS offices or TAX REFUND offices

• On departure, go to the Customs Office (BEFORE CHECK-IN) and get your Customs Stamp showing your unused purchases.
  
  
• IMMEDIATELY mail the stamped form in a PUBLIC MAILBOX using the TAX REFUND™ prepaid yellow envelope. Avoid using TAX FREE MAILBOXES. (This is to avoid using a mailbox of another tax refund company. MAILBOXES are located close to the customs offices).
  
  IMPORTANT: YOU CAN GO DIRECTLY TO TAX REFUND OFFICES IF YOU DEPART FROM:
• ROMA Fiumicino Airport (Terminal 3) - near check in desk no. 224 (every day 7am - 3pm)
• MILANO Malpensa Airport (Terminal 1) - check-in area no.12 (every day 7am - 1 pm)
• VENEZIA Marco Polo Airport  - check-in area no.38 (every day 7am - 7pm)
  
  When the Tax Refund office is closed, please go to the Customs Office and proceed as indicated above.

3) PORT'S CUSTOMS offices

• On departure, go to the Port’s Customs Office and get your Customs Stamp showing your unused purchases.
  
  
• IMMEDIATELY mail the stamped form in a PUBLIC MAILBOX using the TAX REFUND™ prepaid yellow envelope. PUBLIC MAILBOXES are located close to the customs offices.
